A Second wedding fayre

The weekend went so fast, we had another Wedding fayre this Sunday, this time at the Kent county cricket ground in Canterbury Kent.
Xena helped me again this week.
We had lots more couples asking about the roses, all the different colours they were going to have for the weddings....
Lots of cards were taken so i hope to have some emails later on.

Notonthehighstreet.com Then type in the search box Pretty Paper Roses

Last year i joined a great online website called Notonthehighstreet.
Some of my bouquets are selling on there for valentines day as well as anniversary gifts and wedding arrangements now so i am really pleased.
Off to do some food shopping now.

My first wedding fayre

This Sunday i had the chance to have a stall at the wedding fayre which was held at the Ashford International Hotel in Kent.
I was so looking forward to this and had a lovely day .
Xena our niece came along to help me, and i could not have managed with out her.... especially with my bad leg and crutch's.
Well lots of people have taken my cards so i will see if they decide to have paper roses for their wedding decorations.

It is amazing how many different choices in colours the brides have from Green, Grey, Black, Aqua, Pink, i told each of them i can paint the roses to match the colour they chose.
Well i will see what happens.

I am trying to encourage Xena to sell some of her fantastic art she paints... here are some pictures of her most recent work. They are very large 5' x 3' acrylic on canvas.
I have put them on ebay for her, she has already sold quite a few through a local gallery.
I love them.

Spring decorating

Well i have been very busy since the Christmas holiday, trying to get the house straight and dreaming up new ideas for the decorating that i am looking forward to doing.
Still not sure of the colour to pick for the back kitchen door... i love the farrow and ball colours and will choose for sure next week.
Our back door is the type called stable door, i have always wanted one ever since a was a tiny girl.
I remember watching a children's program and in it was a door that i was fascinated by, one that split in half, the first thing i asked my husband for when we moved into our house was my own one just like it.
I wonder what todays children will remember from their programs and if they will dream of having the same in their home later.
