Wedding shop

What a beautiful weekend, the weather was so lovely it was like August down in Kent.
We took a drive through the country lanes, i love getting lost and just arriving at a place that you would never have seen otherwise....
I saw a sign for The secret garden, of course with a name like that you have to take a look.
Turning into the gravel driveway i wondered what we would find.
The secret garden was a restaurant, which was not open, on closer inspection around a pretty courtyard was a tiny doorway, well i had to see what was behind that door....a lovely wedding dress shop, i had a look at all the wonderful dresses and shoes tiaras and flowers, speaking to the owner i told her about my roses and the commissions i have had for wedding bouquets and venue decorating.

Well the outcome could be promising, i am going to make up samples to take along in a couple of weeks, as the owner is moving to a larger unit on the same site she said she may be interested in decorating her shop with my roses...i will do my best and see what comes.

Spent some time at Rye again, the Mermaid inn is so magical.... i will never tire of walking up the cobbled road to see the hotel and peer through the windows, maybe one day i will get to stay in the four poster room.

New website

Over the last few weeks i have been organising a website as a different way to reach more customers... also a proper site to advertise my Paper Roses on.

The name i have chosen is paperrosesonline.co.uk

I am going to try to email magazines and see if they will be able to use the roses in the feature displays.

This weekend i spent a lovely day in Hythe in Kent.
Beautiful church with a difference...under the church there are hundreds of skulls all piled up leaving a small aisle to walk through.
So many different shapes and sizes of skulls.

I made sure to visit all the antique and secondhand shops along the high street, brought lots of lovely old books most of them costing a pound or less, farmhouse kitchen cook book was one.

The weather was perfect for a stroll along the beach at Littlestone
Lovely weather and a great weekend.

Walk around Rye

On Saturday i had the chance to spend some time in Rye in Sussex
The streets were packed with shoppers and a wedding was taking place.
The church has a very special feature, the chance to climb up and take a look across the rooftops above the lovely houses and surrounding fields.

I had a look in all the lovely shops, a favorite of mine is called Forget me not Rye.
Couldn't resist their Lavender pillow mist and Lavender soap also some serviettes with lovely roses on them.
The haberdashery shop.... had to get pretty ric rac and ribbon, another lovely shop.
Halloween is almost here so i brought Black and Orange card to make into trick or treat cones, ready to fill with sweets.
This week i have orders to make and will be adding some wreaths and Christmas decorations to my Ebay and notonthehighstreet shop, so must get on......
